Uninstaller

PRO

Windows' built-in “Add or Remove Programs” often leaves junk behind when you uninstall something. This tool removes programs AND cleans up everything they left behind.

A deep-clean uninstaller that goes far beyond Windows Add/Remove Programs. After running a program's built-in uninstaller, TuneBit scans for leftover files, folders, registry keys, shortcuts, and orphaned product GUIDs — then lets you review and remove them selectively.

Program Discovery
Reads both HKLM and HKCU uninstall registry keys to find every installed application, including per-user installs that other tools miss.
Leftover Scanning
After uninstall, scans the install directory, AppData folders, TEMP, Start Menu shortcuts, Desktop shortcuts, and deep registry product GUIDs for remnants.
Selective Cleanup
Presents a review dialog showing every leftover found. You choose which items to remove — nothing is deleted without your explicit approval.
Safety Protections
A built-in blacklist protects critical system paths (Windows, Program Files root, System32) from accidental deletion. MSI packages are handled with special msiexec integration.

Full Enumeration
Reads HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run, RunOnce, and their HKLM equivalents to find every startup entry on the system.
One-Click Toggle
Disable or re-enable any startup program instantly. Disabled entries are preserved (not deleted) so you can re-enable them later.

The “blue screen of death” is scary, but it usually has a specific cause. This tool reads the error code and tells you what went wrong — in plain English — along with what to try next.

Look up BSOD stop codes, analyze crash events, and enumerate minidump files — all in one place. TuneBit queries Windows Event Log for BugCheck, unexpected shutdown, and WER events from the last 365 days, then maps stop codes to human-readable names with fix suggestions.

Event Log Analysis
Queries BugCheck events (ID 1001), unexpected shutdowns (EventLog 6008), and Windows Error Reporting crashes (WER 1001) from the last year.
Stop Code Mapping
Maps 50+ common stop codes (DRIVER_POWER_STATE_FAILURE, CRITICAL_PROCESS_DIED, IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL, etc.) to descriptions and recommended fixes.
Crash Dump Enumeration
Lists minidump files from C:\Windows\Minidump (up to 50, newest first) and the full memory dump (MEMORY.DMP) if present. Shows crash dump configuration settings.
Copy & Search
Copy individual or all BSOD records to clipboard with formatted details and 4 hex parameters. Includes search suggestions for further investigation.
📄

Event Log Viewer

FREE

Windows keeps a hidden diary of everything that goes wrong on your PC. This tool lets you read it without having to navigate Windows’ confusing built-in viewer.

Smart Filtering
Combine level filters (Errors only, Warnings, Critical, BSOD/Crash) with time range filters. Uses native XPath queries for fast results, even on systems with millions of events.
Color-Coded Display
Critical and Error events are red, Warnings are yellow, and Information events are white. Quickly scan for problems at a glance.
HTML Export
Export your filtered view to a styled HTML report. Useful for sharing with tech support or keeping records of recurring issues.
🛡

Driver Management

PRO

Drivers are the software that makes your hardware work. This tool backs them all up before a Windows reinstall so you don’t have to hunt for them online afterward.

Backup, restore, and reinstall device drivers. TuneBit scans for problem drivers — unsigned, outdated (2+ years), error-state, or missing — and highlights them. Defaults to showing problems only, with a toggle to view all installed drivers.

Problem Detection
Flags four issue types: no driver installed (error code 28), unsigned drivers, outdated drivers (older than 2 years), and any device with a non-zero ConfigManager error code. Color-coded red for errors, orange for warnings.
Backup All Drivers
Uses pnputil /export-driver to back up every installed third-party driver to a folder you choose. Essential before a clean Windows install.
Restore Drivers
Point TuneBit at a backup folder and it restores drivers using pnputil /add-driver with recursive subfolder scanning. One-click driver restoration after a clean install.
Reinstall Selected
Force-deletes a problem driver and re-adds it to trigger Windows to re-detect and reinstall the correct version. Fixes driver corruption without a full uninstall/reinstall cycle.
